Hi everyone!
Finally I have done my first bead fair and I had an absolutely fantastic time. I loved meeting people face to face and finally being able to put a face to the names! I was asked a lot at the fair about tutoring and I receive a lot of e mails asking the same question so I have decided to take the plunge and start teaching some one to one sessions. I will probably need about a month to get properly organized but I am really excited about it as it is a great feeling to share my enthusiasm for lampworking with others. I didn’t realize till now how much I’d learned and how much I liked talking about all the ins and outs of glass. I plan on starting with beginner lessons which I would tailor towards any previous experience you may have as well as peoples very first time at a torch . If anybody is interested it would be good to hear from you so that I can get an idea of how useful this may be and what demand there is for lessons in this area and of this type. I have previous teaching experience from teaching basic computing skills and I have been working every day almost for the last 2 years on my lampwork techniques. My studio set up is a minor torch with 2 oxycons in a dedicated studio fully equipped with appropriate ventilation including an intake as well as extraction system.
Thanks again
